Put a set of Redline hood struts on my dads 07 today right before I left KY to head back to AR. Took less than an hour by myself, super easy to install! I highly recommend them for at least the S197 cars, have to wait till I can get my own to comment on the SN95 cars. Hardest part is getting over drilling holes in your hood!

Did you happen to take any pics? I've been looking at getting a set as well but by MRT. They do not require drilling holes and mount up to the existing holes at the hinges.

I would have to agree. I did NOT want to drill holes in the hood but it was worth it. If you can find a set that you like and dont have drill holes go for it. I liked the look of the redlines so I took the chance.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to take pictures! It was such a quick install, I didn't even think about it. I bet it was closer to 30 minutes tops for the install, took longer to find and put back the tools than it did to install them. It makes opening the hood a one handed affair, the way Ford should have done it! Dads car even had little marks stamped into the hood and fender that lined up exactly with the holes I had to drill. It's like Ford knew, but just got too cheap to install them at the factory!

Hmmm yea drilling holes would be a touchy subject for me!! Lol! But I plan on getting some hood struts soon

These are the ones i think i am going with for my GT when the time comes,and i actually go threw to do it LOL....
