Well, hope everyone had a good weekend. Saturday was excellent weather, so I took advantage of it to tackle my latest project. I painted all the parts in the same color as my Mustang, Grabber Orange, and quickly learned why that color costs so dang much while watching it being mixed. It contains about 7 different colors in its mixture and allot of clear-coat added in. Attached the pics of the process I went through, starting with the factory style plenum cover and extension then the carbon fiber fuel rail covers. I had to lay out the lettering and stripes on the fuel rail covers and paint the "powered by ford" on the plenum cover by hand. I still have to clear coat them this week but all in all I'm very pleased with the out come and should have them installed before too long.

That's awesome. I've thought about doing something similar with my plenum but I don't think the white would be quite as difficult and I'm sure I wouldn't be skilled enough to do as good of a job.

I had a friend of mine that owns a body shop mix the paint. 8oz for the Grabber Orange (Valancia) cost me $65 and thats with him giving me a break. Couple other local places and online sites were going to charge close to $80 with out shipping added in for 8oz
