Hate to wear my welcome out being on the site all the time, but it gives me something to occupy my time. At the moment I am with my wife in Omaha. she is on her 2nd stem cell transplant and has been here this go around since June. she has been battling cancer for a couple of years and is putting up a good fight. My schedule changes at a moments notice depending on her needs.
I actually bought my cobra for us to go on the 2009 hot rod power tour to celebrate her first transplant. Unfortunately the cancer came back and she is fighting for her life again. I promise one of these days I will make an event. Everyone sounds great and I look forward to meeting you all. please keep my wife in your prayers.
Hopefully next year she can make an event with me. she hates the whine and roar but she loves to drop the top and cruise.

Never worry about wearing out a welcome, and if you ever need anybody to chat with outside of here or anything, all the guys here are great. Any of us would be more than willing to chat, bench race, or just let you vent. Oh, and welcome to the site! I hadn't mentioned that yet.

Finally got some good news. My wife is cancer free and may get to come home in a couple of weeks. been in Omaha since late June.
according to the doctor the cancer is gone or almost gone so the stem cells are doing their job. the treatment really took a lot out of her so she has a long recovery to get her strength and stamina back. very weak but definitely ready to come home. thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

WOW, that is some great news!!! So glad to here it's under control and about to come to an end. There will be a long road to recovery I'm sure, but it should be a piece of cake when compared to some of the treatments they have to have. Contrats to you and your wife, and I'll still have her in mind wishing for a speedy recovery. Again, I'm local so if I can help yall out at all just let me know what I can do.

hey guys,
some of you may know but for the rest here goes.

My wife has lost her fight with cancer. she past Saturday night with me at her side in Saint Marys regional med center in Russellville. Funeral was Tuesday. Her 43rd birthday would have been Dec 24th. As you can imagine this year can not get over fast enough for me. really bad last 3 years. she spent most in and out of hospitals or doctors offices. at one point she spent over 4 months in Omaha Nebraska cancer treatment center. we had been married for 19 years had have two wonderful kids ages 12,16. thats what has keep me going during this hard time. we have a good base of friends in the area and they are taking good care of us. Just wanted to remind everyone to be thankful of what they have, tell them you love them and remember the reason for the season. god bless

Wow, I'm so very sorry to hear about that. Back in 2000 my mother went into the hospital about 9 pm Christmas eve. She was diagnosed with cancer and passed a few weeks later. It's never easy loosing a loved one, and it seems even worse this time of the year. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your children, and family. If I can do anything at all to help you out, just let me know.

My most heartfelt condolences in your time of grief. I feel how weak and lacking any words I have, should I even attempt to comfort you in your time of loss. May the memories and the love of your children get you through this rough time.
Logistics aren't my friend as of late, but if you need anything give me a shout.

A very merry Christmas to you and yours sir, you most certainly deserve it.
