So check it out. I know I just got here 2 weeks ago.. But I already miss my stang.. Its all good though because I'm going to drop a few grand in it when I come home. My plans thus far
New paint (gloss black) + front end
2' cowl hood
New weatherstripping+ Windshield
New suspension (probably go with maximum)
New tranny (probably a built t-5)
5 lug upgrade + gt500 wheels
Correct MAF + MSD ignition
Everything about my car sucks so i basically need to upgrade it all, make it handle better, drive better, look better and run a little better before i'm going to do anything SERIOUS to it. Its going to look pretty sick and be alot better off than if I just dumped a ton of money into the engine. Anyone have any advice?

Sounds great to me! I'm more of a show guys myself. Once the car looks and handles good, the rest will come given time. Keep us updated, gonna look sweet!

Sounds like a good plan you got going. I can't wait to see it. Take it from me though you don't want to spend all the money you come home with. I did and I regret it, but you got to spend some of it to keep you sane lol. Stay safe.

LOL I knew a lot of guys that did that. It did not take me to long to spend mine but I always regretted not saving some of it.

Yeah, i do wanna save some money. But at the same time I'm a single guy with a project car! And as far as i'm concerned having a vehicle that handles is funner than having one that is only good at going extremely fast in a straight line. OF course my opinion may be slightly biased due to the fact that I have a supermoto that will rail a turn harder and tighter than any sport bike can.. I guess I'm gonna go with the 17x9in wheels for it. With the maximum motorsports suspension how much do you think its going to drop the car? Or do you think it'll retain factory ride height. I don't want to have clearance issues with the wheels, Thats why i'm choosing the more narrow wheels to maybe negate the whole issue entirely. I've read about people having to "massage" their inner fender wells in the back to keep them from rubbing. Anyone?

Sounds like a good way to start out. The Maxium Motorsports stuff is top notch. IO would look at doing a brake upgrade too since you are going to doing the big wheels and tires.

It all depends on the backspacing on the wheels you choose if they are going to create issues are not.Brake upgrade would be a plus.
Your plans sound good so far.
You should do a build thread on her once you get started.

Looks like a good list. I agree, get it running right first. Start with the tranny and correct maf. The resto stuff like the weather stripping would come next if it were mine. Then the suspension and other upgrades. And last the paint. Just my opinion though.

I also look foreward to becoming a more active member in our little cult.. You know. Go on cruises, drink some brews with yall! Work on some cars.. Like I stated before I'm going to do a little build thread on it whenever I get the ball rollin' some before and after pics for sure!
