What Time Is It?
Read Acts 20:1 through 21:40
Kindergartner Ross was learning to tell time, but kept switching the significance of the short and long hands of the clock. The time 10:30 came out as 6:52, and 1:30 came out as 6:07. In his attempts to tell time right, he had the wrong time.
You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus (Acts 20:20,21).
In its rejection of God and His values, our world exchanges God’s standards for the counterfeit opposite. Wrong becomes right, harmful becomes helpful, and evil becomes good. These counterfeit values not only deceive the world but often tend to seep into the lives of believers.
We need to be those who know what time it is, live by God’s character and truth, and take up our cross to follow all of His commands for us.
Suggested Prayer: Lord keep me face to face with Your Word and Your glorious Person, that my life and my moments may be founded upon and tested by truth.
