Well here is the build thread for my 83 GT. I was going to be secretive with the car, but I figured my fellow stang gang members needed to see it. Here is a quick run down of the car as a roller:

1983 mustang GT
D&D Tubular K member
D&D Tubular A arms
QA1 coilover kit 14" springs 175lbs spring rate
So Tex Race Cars 6 point chromoly rollcage
So Tex Race Cars 2x2 thru the floor subframe connectors
So Tex Race Cars torque box reinforcement plates
So Tex Race Cars strut tower brace
So Tex Race Cars driveshaft safety loop
93 cobra rear spoiler
93 cobra rear tail lights
8.8 rear end with 98 cobra rear brakes
98 cobra front spindles
Steeda bumpsteer kit
Flaming River power rack and pinion
UPR caster camber plates
Strange 10 way adjustable front struts
10th anniversary cobra wheels
All autometer phantom gauges-5" tach with shiftlight in A/C vent, oil pressure, fuel pressure, fuel level, water temprature, boost.
AEM wideband

Everything on the car has been converted to 87-93 except the dash. When I got the car it had no front clip on it. It has previously had a stock 302 with a pony downs twin turbo kit on it. He had decided to go back to a 4 eyed front end so he sold the other. Well when he took the front clip off, some offered him a procharged 98 cobra for his 302, turbo kit, and tko600. So I got the car after that. When he had the car painted, it was stripped to bare metal, and had EVERYTHING taken off the car (hatch, fenders, all interior) and was painted Dupont Corvette black, Mercedese silver, and Mazda Red. The car was jammed when it was painted and even goes underneath the door panels. The paint and pin strip theme even carries over to the cage. When the car came out of the paint booth, he had new carpet, new door panels, new headliner, new plastic installed inside. He then put new window motors, and lock actuators in.

Since I have got the car, I have put a Skinny Kid Racing 5 1/2" extended cowl hood, 91 front fenders, 91 LX front bumper on and Bogart D10 wheels. I haven't got around to installing the fenders and bumper. I am waiting on my head lights to get here. I have ordered some smoked headlights for it.

I am in the middle of building the rear suspension and rear end. The car is going to the paint booth pretty soon to get the front end painted. Everything is already wired up for an Aeromotive Eleminator fuel pump and so on. The motor/transmission/turbo set up is still being kept secret, but will be released soon enough. Here are a few pictures of the car so car so far disassembled, and a few with the hood on it.

Few updates. I did some swapping and ended up with a complete GT body kit. After seeing it with the GT bumper vs the LX bumper, I'm going to go with the GT kit. We start body work next week on it. I am going to Memphis this weekend to pick up my Southern Outlaw Shop aluminum wing. I have new door handles ordered for it, going to put them on when it goes to the paint booth. I did some trading and got a Flaming River manual rack and pinion kit, had to ditch the power steering for the new combo. Also did some more trading and ended up with a set of QA1 adjustable rear coilovers.

As for the big news, the block went to the machine shop today along with the crank to get everything stroker clearanced. As soon as it gets back from the machine shop I will post up some pictures and give a few details. More pictures coming tomorrow!

Ya I'm actually pretty surprised of how quick it's coming along. I baught a crank and rods this morning. I got the Turbosmart E Boost 2 boost controller in today. Pretty neat gadget. It really hurts paying $600 for something that looks like a regular gauge. Lol

I sure hope it is. Motor specs are here:

Dart IE Aluminum Semiese bore 8.7 deck motor
Sonny Bryant billet crank
GRP billet aluminum rods
Diamond dished forged aluminum pistons (8:8 compression)
Edelbrock SC-1 heads ( 2.26 intake valve, 1.86 exhaust)
Custom Kuntz & Co solid roller cam for 55mm roller cam bearings
Edelbrock super victor EFI intake
Twin Garrett 76mm turbos

you would not believe the rediculous deal I got on all this stuff.I pretty much found someone that was needing money BAD. Motor is good to around 2300hp....

That is one sexy car there Jake. The D10's compliment it very nicely! I'm gonna have to forget about Eleanor and build my notch to compete with your sneeky sneeky! LOL. Cant wait to see it run man!

I got hard up for some money and had to sell it all. At one point I was a fuel system away from having this car running. The fox body I have now won't be AS fast as this one would have been, but it will still give a lot of people problems on the street. Would you agree Mike?

The new one will be secretive...kinda. I will post up SOME details, but I'm not gonna put up all the specifics until it's done.
