Alright I'm planning on cutting the springs in my 6, just needing some advice. From what I understand it's not a terrible idea as long as you know what your doing. But my question is which coil is the dead coil that isn't needed? Is it located on the top or bottom of the spring?

You might talk to Torched_03. His is perfect! I did mine but cut just a lil bit too much out of it and it rides like a war wagon,,,but I like the look. lol You cut from the top.

Yeah, from what I hear, on the front I'm supposed to cut the top one and on the back I cut the bottom, I've gotta try and get a friend over to help sometime soon, I don't wanna be doing this without any help lol.

if you arent sure which coil or how much to take off, wait till you get some one that does. i dont recommend cutting on stock springs not to mention aftermarket springs have a lot better sping rate. if its just looks you going after, i guess it isnt too big of a deal. be sure to get an alignment afterwards too.

Yeah I'm not going to make a move until I get someone to help with it. But I'm just doing it for looks, I can not stand the 4x4 look I got going right now. I can deal with a bad ride anyways cause the car isn't driven too much

Chy(torched_03) is the best person to ask for sure.
