After being a fox guy for so long, I decided to try something new, so I sold the fox and bought this 1995 GT. It is in pristine condition. It is an automatic with the only mods being exhaust and a bbk intake. The color is a huge bonus as I refused to buy a red car. Whatcha' think?

Good looking car. It looks like a prime candidate for a turbo kit. Wait...it just so happens that I have one for sale that will bolt right now to that car! haha

thanks everyone. I'm pretty stoked about it.
As for mods, it's gonna be a dd/street car. The first thing that the car ABSOLUTELY NEED's is some 3.73's and a shift kit. I also have a set of gt40 heads and an Edelbrock performer EFI intake that will eventually make their way to the engine bay.
hey Stumbaugh, i have tossed around the idea of boost. i have always preferred turbo over supercharging. I'll have to think this over a little.
Oxman, i saw you had your car for sale on CL. Had any luck?

I heard that Ox is looking at a Camry.
He and Preston are going to change this site to TheToyotaGangAR.com. Then they're gonna drive everywhere with the throttles mashed. if the po po show up they'll just say "oh! My throttle was stuck, but I just got it loose!"
That's what I heard.

^^^Haha, not quite. I believe he said Cobra fever, not Camry fever. TheToyotaGangAR, now come on! The 4runner isn't part of any such recall. There have been ZERO cases involving the 4runner. The reason being the 4runner uses a different throttle sensing unit (made by Denso) than a lot of the other models (which happen to be the ones with the issues). So the only thing my "horrid" Toyota is doing is allowing me to go the places I need to go, and to carry everything I need (it was to the point I couldn't even make it up my own driveway with the 'Stang). May I bring up the beloved Fords and their lawsuits? It wasn't too many years ago that they were being sued right and left over tire blowouts resulting in accidents/deaths. There were WAY more suits over this than "sudden acceleration" on the Toyota's. Doesn't make them less of a company, they ALL will have issues at times.

Geez Preston is getting all defensive here. The only reason the tires were blowing out in the fords were because of excessive tire spin due to to much horsepower. ;). Haha

Nah, not really defensive, just tired of being stereotyped. It's kinda like would you rather have a million dollars now, or a penny the first day, and double it for a month. Maybe you'd be happy with the million, but if you chose the penny you'd have $10,737,418.23. Personally, I would wait. SO, no Stang now, but just wait, I'll be back when the time is right for me.
Now back to your scheduled broadcast....

I've been picking on Preston kinda hard a/b the Toyota... I'm sorry, buddy. NOT trying to troll you or anything. Sometimes I take a just take a joke too far.
The recall thing is an easy target b/c Toyota has made a great reputation for safety and reliability. This is a black mark, but it won't be long b4 they put it behind them. Their cars deserve their good reputation and all automakers have recalls. Honestly -aside from the Prius- I don't know how anyone could have a fatal accident b/c of a stuck accelerator. When I worked @North Point Toyota every car I drove had neutral on the transmission.
Sorry a/b the threadjacking.
