This summer im rebuild my stang...Boring it 30 over and i have some gt40p heads ready to go on and i have a TF intake.

I want get the compression up to about 10.5 - 11.0 so what would be a decent piston to use.

I dont want to shave the heads to achieve the compression because in a couple more years i may wanna put 8 psi or so of boost so i want to be able to swap pistons to lower the compression back down.

Also i may spray a little nitrous on the motor while it still has higher compression.

Flat top pistons with valve releifs will work great. The gt 40p heads have 58 cc combustion chambers compaired to the stock 5.0 e7 heads that have a 64cc chambers. With the gt40 p's on a 306 (.030 over 302) and flat tops should be about 10:1 compression.

i ordered a piston kit from summit with speed pro forged pistons. i have run this motor for about eight years with nitrous. now has a d1 procharger on it. no problems at all.

If you dont plan on putting more than 175 shot down it look into the keith black premium forged pistons. They are cheap and light weight and they are actually a pretty durable piston. I have used them many times in build with great success!
