I took my bone stock (except for bbk intake and exhaust) 1995 GT to the track this past Saturday. We just went to watch, but I was "talked" into running my car. I kinda wanted to get a baseline before I started doing mods. I ran twice and my best run was my first one. In the 1/8 mile I ran 8.587 at 69mph. My 60ft time was 1.611. This was my first time ever at a drag strip and my first time ever driving. My 3.73 gears and my shift kit just arrived, so hopefully I can get them installed and see how this helps my times.

Sweet! I should probably do the same. Did you go up to Centerville?

No, I went to Bee Branch. They have a nice track there. And it's only $15 to run as many times as you want. They even do bracket racing. Go to google and search for "two lane blacktop dragstrip" and you can see their page and information and directions. It's a heck of a lot closer than centerville.

The math doesn't really work out here. 8.5 @ 69 mph 1/8 mile?

Yeah something doesnt add up. I ran the same 1/8th mile time as you in my car, but I was 12mph faster than you. Plus I find it extremly hard to believe a 95 gt that's an automatic with stock gears, a cold air intake, and exhaust would cut a 1.6x 60ft. Sorry man but I am calling BS. There is absolutly no way possible that you could cut that kind of 60ft with no converter, and no gears.

Agreed and bee branch is horrible if you actually take a fast car you will be running out of track to slow down. My suggestion is to go to c'ville it is was safer and more accurate than bee branch (I want to say I heard bee branch is shorter than an 1/8th).

I heard the same thing. I thought it was only 550ft.

Cool. I am not big into 1/8th mile racing though. I would rather do 1000ft. But, that is cool.

You guys could be right. Their website says 1/8 mile and the information i gave was off the timeslip. Like i said, this was my first time, i dont know much about this stuff.

Yeah the time slip is wrong for sure. Because if that 60ft was correct, that would be a world record.

x2! I had bolt ons with 4.10's and 315 drag radials on my 03 5 speed gt and ran an 8.56 at 84.27 mph with a 1.87 60 ft. Check your slip again!

I ran an 8.55 at 81mph in my 99gt with a TB, O/R H pipe, Magnaflows, and 3.73's cutting a 1.89 60ft on a 245/45/17 STREET tire, geez Abdulla you gotta step it up.....lol I'm messing with you bro, I gotta give you a hard time. I'm pretty sure I remember you saying you dont go to the track much, It took me about 5 month's of going out there EVERY weekend to finally get that kind of time. My car might have ran .01 faster in the 1/8th than yours, but yours was 1000000000000000000000000x nicer than mine for sure! I am pretty sure you ran faster in the 1000ft than me tho.

hahaha it's all good. I've only been out there twice, and the second time my brand new clutch slipped on me halfway down the track. my best time was a 10.98 in the 1000ft at 95.62 mph with a 1.87 60 while spinning through 1st. Hopefully my next car will be much quicker than that!

no reason to check the timeslip again. I did graduate with honors and I have quite a bit of college, so reading the timeslip isn't the problem here. it seems to me that the problem is with the electronics at the track.
