I have doing some work on my 1990 GT. A couple of weeks ago I put in a welded a sump to a stock fuel tank an put it in with a Holley black pump and 1/2" fuel line. Now I have it in the body shop now for a paint job. What do you guys think about black with pearl blue ghost flames? When it gets out of the shop I am going to replace all of the weather stripping.

Ghost flames are killer....when I get a cowl hood I'm going to get the front clip of mine repainted and add ghost flames, so two thumbs up from me!

Flames -to me- can be either the main event or be a highlight. To me a smooth/straight Fox in black is the main event, and I think that the ghost flames could be really cool as a highlight. If you limited it to one of these sections it could be a nice detail to underline the coolness of the car:

if you did the low one (under the trim) it'd be cool for the ghost blue to be flame over flame over flame, and be blocked off like classic Mustang side stripes -you know: 3stripes, where the middle one is wide and says MUSTANG and the outside stripes are thin?
like this (but wider to show the detail of the flame):

Think a/b it like this: cutting a mustang side stripe out of this

Thanks. I have bought the black base coat and pearl blue, so the ghost flames are a go. The body work and prep are done. After the black is on we are going to lay out a couple of different ideas, but i do like the flame racing stripes. I'll take some pics.

Thanks guys. I got to pull it outside today for a few pics, here's a couple. I am going to work on wet sanding and buffing this week after work to really get it shining.

The show at North Point may turn out to be really good. Is it going to be on a Sat or Sun?

Yes they are. I fell in love with them when i saw them at the show and had to have them. I actually bought them for the 88 notch to go along with a pro products polished intake and ceramic coated hooker long tubes. I figured since the 90 gt has new paint it needed pretty valve covers.
