well now that i have a little more power, figured its time to get the suspension going, had some parts laying around for a couple of weeks so its time i get them on. i already installed the eibach pro kit springs, however it messed up my pinion angle in the rear, so i ordered the steeda adj upper control arm so that i can adjust the angle to a better 4* or so, plus im removing weight off the front and will create better weight transfer with a upr swaybar delete kit, im hoping to be able to install everything this week at the hobby, just posting on here to see if anyone has done the sway bar delete and if there are any issues i will encounter or if its a no hassle swap., ill take a few pics of the install if any one wants me too

Yeah I'll try and get some pics while doing the job, wasn't sure if anyone else has done either part or not. Should be simple but we all know how that goes

definitely put up some pics and let us know how it goes. I have been looking at suspension mods (BMR lowering kit most recently) - local Ford place shot me a price of $350 for FRPP 1.5" drop springs installed but the shop manager was saying no other mods would be needed with the springs -- that spooked me a little insofar as having them work on my car. lol.

is that 350 with the springs included or just labor???, cause if thats the case thats way too high, i did front and rear springs in just under 2 hours and it wasnt that bad at all. but if that includes the price of the springs then thats a good deal!!! only thing i bought was a set of front camber bolts to help pull the camber back out but its not enough, i need to get camber plates, however the prokit really slammed the front end on mine, the bolts might be enough for the 1.5 you plan on lowering yours
other then that you really dont need much, its pretty simple with just springs, i just want to be able to launch the car harder so thats why im installing the rear upper control arm

I figured a 1.5" drop with the FRPP springs would require caster/camber plates, however, I looked under the hood of an '07 Shelby GT that has the FRPP FR3 Handling Pack with 1.5" drop springs and it doesn't have them. Maybe you can get by with the FRPP 1.5" drop springs with no extra hardware? Maximum Motorsports camber plates add a bit of a spike to the cost of lowering the car ($300ish). If my luck plays out as usual, I'll have to get camber plates, an adj panhard bar and five or ten other parts to make it work and look right. lol.

I swapped out the factory springs for FRPP K springs over the weekend. They are much better than the factory springs & goodbye nasty wheel well gap.

Just ordered a brand new set of bbr billet lower control arms, figured if I'm going to do it might as well do it all. They will be in friday so I'll have everything installed this sat. Want to start hitting the track asap

The BBR-0506-001? $200? I was just looking at those and the Steeda lower control arms. After getting a really good look at the stock lower control arms while swapping out the springs I decided they were in need of immediate replacement. The factory LCAs look questionable at best.

Yeah those where the ones, was going to go with just some chrome moly steeda ones but noticed BBR had those on sale for just a little more so I jumped on them, the same ones with a roush logo would cost you twice that new. Pretty excited, last piece will be a BMR panhard bar and brace. Then everything suspension wise I want to do will be done. Looking at getting some longtube headers and new x-pipe in the next week or so, so I'll be selling the midpipe I have now in thenext few weeks. Prob just going to go with the pypes setup from American muscle, guys on the s197 forum seem to like them and say they fit up nicely

Well got it all on, however I wasn't able to take pics since I left both my phone and camera at home. Took about 3 and a half hours to complete thanks to the help of broncobullitt. Wpuld have been quicker but my car drew attention and I had to keep stopping to explain what I was doing. Haha

You just had to post pics of those BBR billet lower control arms, didn't you? I have to get a set of those now -- they look completely cool and about a thousand times stronger than the factory LCAs. Wonder how much it would cost to have a set of those delivered to me before the weekend gets here?? lol.

I got mine sent to me for 214 but that was standard ground shipping. I love them, you can see them when looking through the wheel well which is cool!!! And they work!!! You def need to get a set!
