Well, it has begun. Yesterday, we tore into my car in my buddy's dad's garage to swap to a 5 speed. We got the old trans out, swapped pedals, swapped flywheels, and have the trans bolted up. Gonna finish it today. Got a screaming deal on parts (thanks again Stan!!!!!!!!!) It's a T45, rebuilt about 18,000 miles ago, Ford Racing aluminum flywheel, King Cobra clutch, BBK quadrant and firewall adjuster. Took me forever to run down a stock cable! (I know, should have had that ahead of time) I will be running the stock ECU for now, until I can get a 5spd computer. I can't wait to drive it! Gotta go finish it now!

Will there be issues running with an ECU programmed for an automatic? I've never really researched it so I'm curious.

Well, other than my O/D Off light blinking, and my speedo reading double what I'm actually running, there doesn't seem to be any issues. Car will break traction shifting into 3rd, it's awesome!

I have come to realize that I have to :
A: Relearn how to launch a 5 speed car, it's been so long!
B: Get used to getting left behind at the light, since I will be sitting still.
C: Get drag radials for daily driving.
D: Get over it, and just bolt the ET Streets on at the strip to prove my car's got some guts.

I have longtubes, off road X, Magnaflow catback, CAI, BBK throttle body, ported plenum, underdrive pulleys, aluminum flywheel, King Cobra clutch, and lowering springs. Not nearly enough!

That's an impressive list! I had all that except for the underdrive pullies! Gears will help you out quite a bit as well! I had 4.10's and it was **** quick down low.

you can get a tune file from a manual and fix the light and speedo issues. i did a manual swap in a friends mach, got a stock manual mach tune sent to me, and now everything is good.
