Stand up for Jesus
Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.
Luke 22:31-32
It’s no secret that evil permeates our world today, influencing our young people and our relationships. Infidelity runs rampant, divorce is ever on the increase, and one-third of all babies born in America live with a never-married parent. The devil is breaking down our moral fiber and offering tawdry earthly substitutes for the Word of God.
Satan must be overjoyed when he sees what his work has done to the world, that so many people have forgotten or turned away from God.
Instead of despairing, do what Ephesians 6:11 commands: “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Satan may be active in the world, but as long as Christians hold onto the Word of God, standing firm in righteousness, evil shall not prevail! The battle has already been won by Christ.
His death and resurrection defeated evil once and for all. You can and will prevail over evil in the name of Christ Jesus.
