Ok, so yet another problem.

Today, I was driving home from work, and everything was going fine. All of a sudden, Engine Failsafe Mode kicks in. I stopped by to have the codes read and it threw two new ones.

P2135 -
P2106 -

So I loaded up and continued on my way home, on the way home, everytime I would push the clutch in, it would die.

Then one it threw up the OIL PRESSURE LOW message, (Gauge indicated my oil pressure was fine, but we all know how accurate those gauges are, plus I just changed the oil maybe 1000mi ago) and then I heard two loud pops, sounded like from under the car? I shut it off and waited a few seconds, and then continued home. It didn't seem to harm anything, I didn't find any leaks and everything looked fine under the hood. Going to inspect more here in a little bit. Any ideas?

I think i might be cursed.......Or my PCM is going :(
I see a TSB about the TPS that seems to throw these two codes.

Man, I am not trying to tell you what to do, but if you want good advise, never keep driving if you get a Engine Oil Pressure Low code or if your gauge drops bad low. Even if it's just the ECU messing up, you never know.

Here's the TSB for those codes. Looks you may have a TPS (throttle position sensor failure).

TSB 05-14-4

07/25/05

WRENCH LIGHT ON WITH BOTH DTC P2106 AND
P2135 - VEHICLES BUILT 11/29/2004 AND PRIOR

FORD:
2003-2005 Thunderbird
2005 Crown Victoria, Mustang
2004-2005 Explorer, F-150
2005 E-Series, Expedition, F-Super Duty

LINCOLN:
2003-2005 LS
2005 Town Car, Navigator

MERCURY:
2005 Grand Marquis
2004-2005 Mountaineer

This article supersedes TSB 05-09-15 to update the Issue and Dealer Coding.

ISSUE
Some vehicles built 11/29/2004 and prior may exhibit the wrench light on with both P2106 and P2135 diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).

ACTION
Replace the throttle position sensor (TPS) following the instruction sheet included in the TPS service kit. Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release B36.11 and higher, or B37.2 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the B37 CD. Calibration files are also available at the website.

CAUTION FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE TPS REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE TPS SCREWS.

Do you think that TSB will be covered under any warranties I may or may not still have? I'm sure its not still under any factory warranties.....maybe emmissions.

stumbaugh - to clarify, the message only flashed fast enough for me to read it, and then it was gone. Like it thought it was too low, but then decided it wasn't. Sorry for the slim details in my earlier post, I was mad ;) Either way, you are probably right, and I shouldn't have driven it anymore,Thank you for the advice sir!

So...I checked everything last night and cleaned the MAF and the TB, and the car appears to run fine now. Got me to work and back today (~10mi) without any problems whatsoever......man this is confusing.

Stupid drive by wire...

tsb's will be covered even if you're out of warranty.

The oil pressure gauge on the newer mustangs doesnt actually read oil pressure. It just shows you that you have pressure. I believe if i remember correctly as long as you have 14psi the gauge is about in the middle, no matter what the pressure is.

Now if the gauge is actually in the red and a ses light comes on then yea stop right away.
