The intake cams on the 96-98 cobra have about 20 degrees more duration than the machs. Exhaust cams are pretty much the same. It can add 15-20 more rwhp to a Mach1.

In order to get the gains from the cams you need to advance them 4 degrees. Just givin you a heads up man.

That's good to know. I read on a tread on mach1 registry to advance 6 degrees to keep from losing torque.

I tried 6 degrees on the last mach i did that cam swap on and it still had a good increase in power but when we retarded it 2 degrees it picked up another 4rwhp and had a little flatter torque curve to it. But each car is different when you start comparing which mods the car has, especially when it comes to what gears are in it.

I only know one guy on here that definitely has a set of these cams. dunno what his name is, but he's got a white cobra w/ a cowl hood on it.
Anyone know his name?

I know, those were my cams before they were his! You think as good of a deal I gave him he would donate his cams and throttle body to me. And maybe the gears too. :)

Why hasn't he said anything about selling it on here I wonder. That post is 3 days old so he has had time, haha. Maybe he found a better deal and doesn't want anyone to know
