Needing to have a set of cams and springs installed, anyone know of anyone that can do this for me? I was going to order the hot rod cams and install them myself, but changed my mind and I'm now going to order the comp 127300s which req spring change. And I don't have tools to do thesprig change. I'm looking at doing the cam swap very Sion, basically as soon as I get the installed lined up. So I'm hoping there are some ford techs on here that will like to make a little extra money. Let me know

Hey Weelo the 127300's should work great for you but if you are going to run one of our cams that require the springs you might think about going ahead and going with the SPR series instead. This are the cams that also require the Phasor mod and they will make about 20-25 more HP they will also give you some cam sound were the other 2 series really do not. Not sure if the sound makes any differance to you but it does to most people. Also if you prefer to not change springs Comp has a line that you would not have to do this and they the 127200 cams. This will cost you about 5-8hp but makes installation way easier. I don't know if you know this already or not either but any paid stanggang member gets a discount from all the Comp Performance Group Companys also.

Thanks for the heads up!! I haven't heard much on the spr series, only reason I was looking into the the 127300s was due to the limiters needed with the 500s. This is my first time playing with a overhead cam car, and to be honest I'm already getting a headache reading on so much. Haha. I miss my old pushrod cars!!!! I need to look around a little more before making my buy!!! Thanks for the advice

Haha, nice!!! Hopefully he can, I work two jobs so barely have the time to do what I have done now. Ha. I'm looking into exactly which set I want to pick up at the moment, got the ffrp intake so now all I need are headers and cams and I am where I want to be as far as bolt ons go!

Awesome. I'm stoked, got my list together for parts and I'll go over it with you to make sure I got everything. So far cams, springs, lockouts, gaskets and new spark plugs are all I know of, also new oil and filter, if there is anything else that can't be bought local, let me know. Thanks again!!!

Grant knows what he is doing for sure. When I get ready to put a set in my 02, that's who I want to do them.

I had one of my friends do my cams and valve springs that is one of the techs at my local Ford Dealership and he did a great job and didn't really charge me that much to do and I know that he is willing to do it again.
