I have acquired a spare set of gt springs that are uncut and are looking to cut them and put them on my car. I was wondering how much everyone who has cut their springs cut off them. I want the car to sit low.

A good nice drop on that year I use to do about a coil and a quater off the front and a full coil off the rear. That usually sat them down nicely. It's been a while but I use to remember them all since everyone back home rides on cut coils, I use to charge 75-100 bucks to pull them, cut them and reinstall. S197 are different and you have to buy coils to lower them

I cut my stock springs and installed yesterday. I love the way Chy's sits so i asked him how much he cut his. I think it was 2 in rear and 1.5 in front. Mine sits perfect now.

Doing a big cut (I did 1.5 coils on both front/rear) WILL require new shox/struts. The factory stuff is in the middle of its operating area w/ this big of a drop, and big freeway joints make mine bottom out. It's better since I got the tokicos from Sweet2kgt, but they still bottom out once or twice a wk. I really wanna go to fox shox in the back since they're (supposedly) 1" shorter overall. Anyone able to confirm/deny this?

hmmm... wonder what the difference is. I have to really pay close attention to road "imperfections".
