Turn a Bassani catted X into a O/R X?

Now mind you I haven't had my car on the rack yet, but I have heard that if you have a Bassani catted pipe it comes with straight pipes where you can take the cats out and install the straights to make it O/R. Anyone know if this is true or not?

I haven't heard where you can take the cats out but I have heard where you can break up the stuff on the inside, if it's the 4 piece design where you will have access to the cats, and dump it all out so it's essentially an O/R. I've never tried it but have heard of people doing it. I think the trick would be to make sure and get everything out or it could rattle.

i wouldnt break the stuff up inside, either cut them out and have straight pipe welded in, or buy a o/r xpipe, they dont cost that much, then you will have the catted one incase you need it, or sell it for the price of the new one
