Spiritual Midnight
Later the others also came. "Sir! Sir!" they said. "Open the door for us!" But he replied, "I tell you the truth, I don’t know you." Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
Matthew 25:11-13
It is approaching midnight. Are you prepared to receive your Bridegroom and His blessing or will you be caught sleeping?
A greeter stands shaking hands at the church door, and an usher sees people to their seats. One is ready, one is not.
A husband reads his devotional while a wife watches her favorite television program. One may be ready, one may not. This message is both a warning and a preparation.
In these last days, the end times, you must stay prepared to do the work of the Lord. The hours tumble toward the twelfth and final hour of midnight and toward eternal life beyond this world.
A rapture is coming, and all those abiding in Christ will be swept up to join Him. As a thief in the night, the Groom will return and find some waiting and ready, while others sleep (1 Thessalonians 5:2).
Will He find you alert and eagerly awaiting His return? Or will you be left behind? Keep watch and abide in Him.
