maybe if u still had it after summer when i get an engineering internship i could afford it, i'd drive there to pick it up or pay for shipping whichever was cheaper. But i know that engine for the price it'll go fast.

we trying to get everything sold as fast as we can. i am thinking of doing the swap as well, but i dont think iput that much money into a mustang.

the wheels are stock 17x9 with bfg g-force sports. they are about half worn.

I don't know if you are aware of this site but some of the guys in Tulsa would probably be willing to come over here for some of the parts. I've sold quite a few items on their forum.

Oh yeah, and thanks for the advice on the exhaust shop on ARRides. I may be checking them out soon.

That seems a little steep for a used motor, even if it is a 4v motor. The 5.4 aluminator's are sold all day long for less than that man. Im not trying to mean any offense, just saying you might need to come off of 6k for that 4v, that is very cheap for that t56 tho!

sweet2kstang
12-05-2008, 05:42 AM
steep for that motor??? i dont even think so. those motors go for more than that, not to mention its only got around 5k on it. plus the motor is complete from pan to blower. if you arent interested in buying it, then dont worry about what i price it at.

Joey5.4

the iron block is better for supercharged engines. thats why ford used it in the terminators. the aluminum blocks would show wear on the front maint bearing with the stress of the blower. and depending what aluminum block you are talking about also makes a differnce. the WAP(01-02) and NVH(03-04 mach, maurader, aviator) are not recomended for over 700hp. the Teskid(93-99) is only 4.6 aluminum block to hold horspower like the iron block. yea the iron block is cheaper but also better depending on your purpose. but that is a turn key motor with all forged internals with a blower ready to go, 6k is not a bad consider them engines with turbo set ups or better blowers are capable of making 900+hp on a completley stock long block, i mean stock cams, heads and all.

stumbaugh

I did not know it came with the blower, my fault. I apologize. And the aluminator motors are the same motors that came out in the Ford GT's. I thought u were saying that you wanted 6k for the motor without the blower. The only reason that i mentioned the aluminator is because ive seen stock aluminator short blocks pushed WAY over 1,000hp. But like i said, i didnt know it had the blower with it so my bad.

01LonestarBullitt

ya those engines and t56 trans brand new on ebay are going for 9500

oh i thought you were talking about aluminum 4.6's, yea the gt aluminum 5.4's can handle any power you throw at them.

if you still have that t56 can u hold it for me and the clutch?

sweet2kstang

everything is first come first serve. the only way i will hold something is to leave a refundable deposit of half.

sweet2kstang
01-04-2009, 11:24 AM
honestly, it will be a lot cheaper to just go buy a set. the pedal assembly goes pretty high, not to mention removal is a pain and installation is even harder. i dont want to risk screwing them up for ya.

will the t56 work on a 96 gt 5-speed?

Blackout_03
01-24-2009, 07:39 AM
it will but will need to buy a different bellhousing. And drive shaft i think

Joey5.4
01-24-2009, 11:14 AM
if you get the trans with bell and all, it it will bolt right up 96 gt, the trans bolt patterns are the same on all 4.6 and 5.4's except some ofthe first 4.6 lincolns. I figure a terminator drive shaft will also work since they are all built on same platforms.

Bigjht
01-24-2009, 11:57 AM
The bellhousing will work but the driveshaft is not a direct fit. The length of the shaft is different than the stock because the pinion flange does not sit in the same place in the car on the IRS as the solid axle. Plus the GT pinion yoke will need to be placed on the cobra driveshaft as it is smaller than the Cobra's, which will not bolt to the GT rearend. This will require a different U-joint. The caps on the Cobra are a larger size for strength so it will have to be one that has both sizes to accommodate the cobra driveshaft size and the gt yoke. I forget the size though but you could search most of the forums and find out. Back to the length, if I'm remembering correctly the cobra driveshaft is actually a tad shorter so a spacer is needed, but again, there are a ton of posts about this on most of the other forums. I did the swap with the IRS as well so I didn't have to worry about it but the guy I swapped with had to go through most of this and I'm going by what he told me he had to do. I hope this helps if you're going that route. I actually thought the T56 was easier to take in and out of the car. You can separate the bellhousing from the transmission while in the car, unlike on the T45, which frees up space to take the bellhousing bolts out. It's a lot heavier which poses some fun but all in all it's easier.

sweet2kstang
01-24-2009, 11:11 PM
the trans would bolt right up. i was pretty sure the t56 and cobra d/s was a strait forward swap, the location is the same just length difference cause of the t56.

the motor, trans, motor wiring, cluster, irs, brakes, were sold today as well.
