Had my car up in the air changing tranny fluid and noticed that I can moved LR wheel in n out about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I have also noticed in a slow speed turn you can here a noise that I just though was brakes but now I'm wondering if maybe bearing is bad or possibly c-clip??? Any suggestions? I'm gonna pull it apart asap to see if I can tell what's going on.

Mine is having the same noise on it also. Slow turns into parking spots mostly.

Jack the rear up and see if there is any movement in the rear wheels (side to side, in and out)

mine does it a little side to side. I was thinking its prob something to do with the c-clips

pulled wheel and caliper and the axle definitly can be pulled in and out of the diff about 1/8 inch. Anyone have any opinions on what it needs? Isn't C-clips what holds the axle in the diff? If there is a problem with this that would be very dangerous to drive with the caliper braket being all that would hold the axle on. ALSO, can anyone tell if this is a stock, 28 spline axle just by looking at the pic???

if its excessive in/out movement you need to check your c-clips,cross pin and spider gears for issues,side/side wear is most likely a wheel bearing. axle looks to be a stocker for your car which comes with 28 sline axles, but to be 100% you would have to pull it.
