Hey guys! Glad to see something semi local for the area here. I hail from Fort Smith. I tried to get a forum started for the arklahoma area a way back when but didnt stick with it. *plug alert* (speaking of forums I run the Hi-Point Firearms forum at http://www.hipointfirearmsfoums.com Come check us out!)

Anywho, I was born In Poteau OK (right across the state line in western AR) Then moved to the fort when I was about 22 or so. Anyhow, Yeah so my first stang was my first car. MY grandma saved up money since my birth and when it came time for a car she said go find something you want.....

I knew exactly what I wanted. 5.0 lol. When I was younger my older cousin had a 89 gt vert he let me ride in and I thought I was the ****! BIG pimpin. And man did it sound sweet. I was hooked.

So I went on a search for a fox. My step moms daugter was dating a guy who was a stang guy and happened to have a 92 5.0 LX for sale. I couldnt drive a stick at all. But I wanted it. Told grams and it was mine! Learned to bang that hurst shifter real quick! lol
It was your basic little 5.0. Head some headers, flows, some MSD stuff, centerforce clutch etc. I loved that car. I finally sold it when the syncros were begging to wear out at around 180k. My cousin bought it and still has it to this day. Has a 347 stroker ready to go in along with any other possible goody you could think of.

The next stang I got was my beloved 86 gt. Black and sexy. Love the 4 eyes. Had it for a few years but had to sell once money got tight.

The last stang I just recently had was a 96 GT vert. Loved that car as well. It was dog *** slow but it sounded like it could break the sound barrier and looked pretty nice.http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/powerstrokegt/1214054325.jpghttp://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/powerstrokegt/urn.jpghttp://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/powerstrokegt/stanghmm.jpg
Sadly she got hit in a parking lot and I traded it in on an 03 f150 I drive now. (ALMOST bought a 03 Lightning. But that think drank gas like it had a hole in the tank.) http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/powerstrokegt/S7301135.jpg

Anywho sorry for the long winded intro. Lol just thought id get all that out of the way.

Welcome!

Those foxes are sexy... not many people appreciate them. Even fewer people seem to appreciate the early sn95s. Glad to see an owner of both.
As for that '96 being slow... shoulda gotten a 94/95. ;] I've driven a few '96-'98 cars and the only one that compares to my '94 is a lightly modded '97 cobra. Although that could be because I'm pre-biased against the modular motors. ;]

lol...94-98 was a bad few years for the Mustang...all were gutless...only the 4v cobra was worth having and even then it took spray to make it a fun car. Hell the S197 V6 cars are faster than the 94-98 GT's.

Any mods done to the L?....great color. I had a KB blown L...man it was fun.
