Shaker 500 radio

A friend of mine has a 07 Mustang with the Shaker 500 head unit and he said the manual doesn't say anything about operating the mp3 feature or ipod. Was wondering if anyone had any advice or know how on this? thanks!

there is a input jack in the center console that he can plug his mp3 up too then just hit aux by the menu button and it should be good to go

Took me a while to find the aux input jack on mine. Its a rather inconvenient and annoying place for it too. I'm working on figuring out the best way to reroute it, when I get it done if any one would like I'll post it and hopefully save some time for others that would like to do the same.

I've seen a few reroute it to the bottom of the cup holder that has the spacer in it. You can cover it up if you want with the spacer or take it out and have a jack. Also seen some Ipod docks installed that way.

Thats because 06 didnt have it until later in the production year. My 06 was built in May and has mp3 capability but no ipod jack.

IPOD or AUX jacks were not installed until 2007. I think in all my parts searching I stumbled across a kit to add it to 05-06. Have to see if I can find it again.
