When we were changing out intakes we noticed this little piece below the TB with what looks to be 2 openings for vacuum hoses but the bottom opening was the only one with a hose attached. Anyone know what this other opening is supposed to be attached to? thanks!

yes it is, i just called Ford and they said it's supposed to be capped off so guess I'll plug it with something.

Lol. Those caps have a tendency to come off... I've only seen one or two with caps actually on them.

well she's running like a champ and i haven't capped it so must not do much. Wird that it's there though.

You should still cap it, because it isn't letting the vacuum system draw as much vacuum on the crankcase. And, technically speaking, it is illegal, because the PCV is part of the emissions control system, and it is modified by having the cap removed (says the guy who has an off road x-pipe on his daily driver). Just my $.02.

hmmm good to know, thanks man! lol yeah,,I have an o/r X too so,,they'd nab me for that before the uncapped pcv i guess :lol:

ya we will see what they say when I drive mine on the street. 4" exhaust with. 4" dynomax bullets, 2" primary headers, around a .740 lift solid roller cam. I bet they don't ask me if my PVC valve is capped! Lol
