I am completely stripping the paint off of the front bumper on my 06 and was wondering if any one knows af a good paint stripper. I used a aerosol stripper for a parts store last night and worked my tail off to get 1/4 of it stripped.

Just curious as to why you want to strip the paint off completely? Be careful with the paint stripper stuff, that will tear up your bumper if you get deep enough. If the paint is cracking then try pressure washing the rest of it off.

Nathan don't strip the paint off unless it's peeling, just wet sand it with a 600 grit sand paper til you knock the shine off of it and it will be ready to Repaint.

yeah that's what i'll end up doing with it. the paint stripper will be like a last resort if it don't last.

I gave up on the paint stripper because I did not have much success with the one that is made for plastic bumpers and it needed to be stripped down to the bare plastic so that I could apply adhesion promoter. After 15 to 20 hours of sanding it is done and now in primer. Hope to get some yellow on it this weekend.
