IMO, there is nothing worse than a stock mustang of any kind. With that being said, we have taken the first steps toward correcting this horrible condition and replaced the factory H-pipe and cat-back with a Bassani X-pipe and Dynomax Race Bullet cat-back. :)

Now she sounds like she should have from the factory. :)

Disclaimer: All pics were taken with my iPhone, so I apologize for the quality.

See the transformation below:

Factory H-pipe on the car:

Factory resonators and intermediate pipes:

Factory Axle-backs. These things are HEAVY! Weighing in @ 21lbs each!

A better view of Ford's H-pipe. This thing is pathetic to say the least:

Thank GOD for Bassani. Isn't it purty? :)

Here is the complete factory cat-back system. I am amazed that with all the R&D that went into this engine, that they would use varying diameters throughout the factory system:

And here is the cure for the inept factory setup. Bassani's X-pipe and DYNOMAX's Race Bullet Cat-back - a full 3" now front to back:

No more resonators:

Finally some tips worthy of looking at:

Here is a before and after video, again taken with my iPhone. She sounds very impressive now, but the video does not do this sound justice.

After (and yes, I know the car is not level and I am not happy about it - LoL):

Quite the difference!Bassani makes quality stuff.
On a side note,Ford has definitely improved there stock set up over time, you should see the exhaust size, bends, and crimps in the earlier years before '05 LOL!Not very good at all.
