Well, I am working on a build list for my new stang. Just wanted to see what yall's thoughts were and if you had any other suggestions. It won't be a fast build, but a slow progressive build over the next few years. Currently I am looking at:

PHASE 1
1. Steeda CAI
2. Steeda 93 Octane Tune
3. Roush Axleback Exhaust

PHASE 2 will likely be to put a blower on it, suspension work, and top off the exhaust to a full system.

From there, not entirely sure. I will probably fortify the engine with forged internals.

As everyone knows, this is all a process. Goals and end results change/develop over time.

As it stands these new 5.0's are FAST for stock and the car is still new and fresh to me. Right now, Phase 1 is about all I would want to do to further refine the car. A CAI/Tune really opens these stangs up, and will give put me at about 410rwhp, very steep 11s quarter's. Won't be long though, especially since I am already wanting to do it, before I get that itch and decide that I have to SC it.

Thoughts/Suggestions?

Sounds like a plan to me! Those things put out some crazy numbers in stock form, and those mods will really wake it up even more.

Looks like an awesome list. Have you decided what you'll be using for the rest of the exhaust in Phase 2? Headers or factory manifolds? Type of cats or using cats at all? and H or X?

As far as the exhaust goes, I haven't decided. I'm not one that can look at videos and decide "yep, thats the exhaust for me", and I don't know really anyone else with a 5.0 around here so it makes it tough. I would have to hear it in person and decide whats right, but I don't want to personally spend thousands on switching out exhaust after exhaust. Too many options!! I figure I have a while before I have to worry about it =)

I really like the sound of the Roush exhaust on those. Sound mean!

Roush is what I am leaning towards, but I have to hear it in person to be sure. Too many options and a lot of them that I think sound like crap from vids

I have the roush axle back on my 11 5.0 Cant go wrong with it! Very agressive sound even with stock h pipe. I have a off road x now and it is wicked loud full throttle but has no drone at all cruising.

You work on the base? Would like to hear what those bad boys sound like in person because they are all the rave on these 5.0's.

I'm going with a basanni x-pipe into dynomax bullet catback. My buddy's 5.0 has that setup and it sounds mean.
