Well, sorted through some pics finally and thought I would share some of the restoration of my 69 with every one. Been working on it for almost three years now, doing little things here and there at my place and then trailering it back and forth to a friends body shop to have all the major stuff done. It sure wasn't much to look at when I bought it, but considering what I was able to buy it for and the fact that it somehow still ran and drove after being stored for 14 years... I would have to say I'm very pleased with it so far and can't wait to get it back on the road. Guess I have to do this in segments since I can only load 3 pics at a time. So...This is what it looked liked the day I bought it, the colors candy apple red if you can't tell  mustang r. 003.jpg[/attachment:3a3cg3p0]mustang r. 004.jpg[/attachment:3a3cg3p0]mustang r. 005.jpg[/attachment:3a3cg3p0]

To continue, the luxurious interior of course and good old 302. The right rear frame rail was rusted through and both quarters had some damage so I had all that fixed thats what it looked like after having that done. Got to love the speed disc wheel covers too. mustang r.2 001.jpg[/attachment:11e89nwo]fun shoot 032.jpg[/attachment:11e89nwo]Picture 006.jpg[/attachment:11e89nwo]

In the past few months I had the engine bay stripped and repainted, looks allot better now. Everything has been jammed out and I'm working on some minor final preps and stuff to get it ready for paint. I wanted to stick close to the original color but do more of a unique varient so I ended up with a 3 stage vibrant sunset red (candy apple red over fine gold combination) shown on the decklid. Looks allot better then I expected it to. I hope to have it all painted by the end of Feb, Keep my fingers crossed for that. No, I'm going to do some upgrades, but my goal is to conceal most of it and try to keep an original look and feel to the car. The engine I'm going to keep cruise-able, but have enough power to still have some fun now and then.

Lowering I'm going to have to play around with a bit just to get the stance I want, but it will be lowered some. The rims, I'm looking at 17s not sure what style yet though. I'll figure that out once I'm done with the paint. This was my original design that I wanted to do. Decided the black would be too much of a pain to take care of so I settled on the vibrant sunset red concept. Still working on rendering out the design and what Kind of stripes if any I would like to lay down. So along with that I'll mix and match some wheels too, kinda see what looks good. on the sketch you have, a torque thrust style wheel in a 17 or 18, you can never go wrong with like in the pic. my uncle has a 64 Falcon with polished torque thrust but he went with 14" wheels, still looks very good but we begged him to do 17's on it but he is very old school

Very cool. Looks like your '69 has lots of potential. I'm probably one of the few here who also has an older Mustang [1968], aside from the '03 Mach 1 I have.
There's a guy from CPR Street Machines, that posts at StangNet.com, that's building a Pro Touring '69 Mustang fastback from these drawings:
