Got a set of Cams for my GT, but having some problems into talking myself into actually putting them in, don't know whether to go to a shop or actually attempt this one on my own, got a friend that is willing to help me, he went to NADC and is a really good inport mechanic, so he knows his way with the overhead cams part, What kind of gains do you normally see out of a set of cams, They are a set of custom grind cams.

depending on specs, you may have to degree them for ptv clearance. remember the stock cam bolts are tty and needs to be replaced when you install the cam gear. if you are confident with working on motors, take your time and have at it.

I'm pretty confident and so is my buddy that is going to be lending a hand, I dn't think it will be that big of a deal, since i bought the holders, so that I dn't lose the timing and still pretty close to what it should be, the cams will clear all clearances.

it isnt a big deal if you are use to woking on motors, I put mine in myself. how big a lift are the cams? also are you installing springs? the springs are the hard part unless you pull the heads off. but if you are cahnging cams i would definetly change the springs. only problem i ran into was i had a windsor 4.6 with pressed on cam gears and most if not all after market cams are romeo with bolt on gears so if you have a windsor id order some bolt on gears befiore you tear it down and be down 3 days waiting on parts like I was.

im not for sure which heads they are, hopefully the romeo's so i dont run into the problem of being down for several days. yeah i am replacing the springs with them, no sense in pulling it all apart and not doing it

Seeing that your GT is an '04,you got the romeo 4.6. ;)
The '99,and '00 had the windsor, then Ford went with the romeo starting in '01.
