Hello! My name is Jake if you can't tell. I don't really know why I am just now registering on the site. I heard about it a couple weeks ago. I live in Hot Springs, work in LR. I have owned a couple mustangs in my time. My first being a '89 GT. It had bolt-ons and a nice Black with blue pearl paint. My next mistake was a '97 PG Cobra. It also had most of the bolt-ons, and a 100 shot. I sold it about 8 months ago and picked up my newest mistake of a project. It's a '91 LX. It has a carb'ed 302, Vic. Jr. intake, Holley 750 converted to blow-thru, Trickflow Stage 1 cam, SVO 1.6RR, and GM HEI distributor. It also has a 67mm GT45, Precision Turbo front mount, Snow Perf. meth injection, Griffin radiator, Art Carr C6, aluminum ds, ds loop, 6pt cage, etc etc.
I bought the car as a project, and it was mostly in pieces. Well I have spent months chasing down bugs, and fighting to get it to run right. Needless to say it still doesn't. I have came to the conclusion to toss the 302, and put a new engine in so I know what could be wrong if something happens. The car has made it to Centerville one time. After a couple of hours of searching for the keys, and breaking the ignition to start it with a screwdriver(found keys as soon as the ignition was popped) I made the last pass of the day. I left at idle, built boost in second gear, and ran a 12.1@89 with a 2.4 60ft. The car has a lot more potential, just needs a little TLC or new engine.
I am looking forward to making some of the meets, although it wont be in a mustang.
