Hello everybody my name is Jeremiah. I am 26 and im sure some of you have seen me on some of the other local boards. I am in the Air Force and have been here for a total of 7 years. Past cars owned include but not limited to... 05 SRT-4, 2nd gen RX7, Mazda 323 gt, 240sx, 2 Festivas, 4 Escort GTs, EG hatch, slammed Ranger Splash, 78 Dodge Power Wagon, 79 Trans am, 84 Camaro..... Enough about me and past mistakes on with the present....
I have a 91 GT black with chrome ponies. Paint is faded and chrome is coming off the wheels lol. I just picked this car up id say about a month and a half ago. I have been working meticulously to get it back up to par and keep it on the road with decent reliability. Specs on the car are as follows. Keithcraft 306 shortblock, port and polish e7 heads, stock cam, 24lb injectors, 190lph fuel pump, BBK equal length shorties, bassani catted x pipe, 40 series flows, 130 amp 3g alt., 3.73 gears, ford racing aluminum driveshaft, built t5, what i believe is a hurst short throw, king cobra clutch, world products typhoon series intake upper and lower, dual electric fans, bbk fenderwell cold air intake, 255/55/16s out back and for now a beat down set of 245/50/16s up front, unknown lowering springs and unknown shocks and struts.
The front tires are going to be changed out soon hopefully provided I can find some stock 225/55/16s to put on it for a decent price. After that i plan on yanking the unknown stiff springs and struts/shocks out to get a decent ride quality back. I still need to run a temp switch for my fans as they are just turning on via relays at the moment at all times which is killing the warm up time for the car. Future long term goals include a top end kit to get the engine breathing a little better. Some form of boost either turbo or supercharger (cant make up my mind yet).
Things I have already fixed or modded since owning it....
130 amp 3g install
Rewired electric fans the right way with one 40 amp relay per fan turned on via 12 volt switch in injector harness
removed horrible hack job alarm install and repaired factory harness
got rid of ricer white face gauges and installed factory gauges that all now work with the exception of the factory tach
replaced stripped out speedo gear installed new speedo cable and sensor as well
lubed all door latches as they were very sticky
removed dead gauges that were not doing anything such as Nitrous, AFR gauge
removed monster tach to repair wiring before reinstalling (still needs to go back in)
Fixed horrible aftermarket deck wiring
new ignition switch
car was backfiring really bad (coil wire was barely hanging on)
bumped timing up to 13 from factory 10 and now run premium
I have a lot of plans for this car and hope I dont lose this one to a deer like my first one. Pics soon to come after I get the car cleaned up a bit so I dont embarass myself. Glad I could finally find a forum dedicated to mustangs and yet still be local. Thank you very much, Jeremiah.
