Well Im going to turn this into my progress thread so here it goes.
Here a few pics from the weekend, I didnt take many because in the middle of it the wind was picking up and looked like rain so I was hurrying to get it done. All I have done so far is paint the back plastic flat black.
Eww

http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/accordlude/50d09c496b40.jpg
I'm going to replace the carpet with some new black carpet and finish painting the plastics, all I have left is the door panels. Unless I find a better way to redye the seats Im going to do a back seat delete and just leave the front seats red. Any ideas?
And this weekend And from this weekend http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g93/azianstang2/816eb322.jpg

Heres some updates
I have to say I am really impressed with the duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint it is definitely worth six dollars a can. So the goal is to make the interior completely black and call me a ricer if you will but it worked pretty well on the back seats that were gray, the only thing left is the carpet and front seats and Im not sure what I will do about the front seats yet. I also plan on just laying new carpet down. On with the pics
I forgot befores

The new clip compared to the old
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/accordlude/332f7cabc0c1.jpg
Also the passenger side the inside door handle wont open the door, I though it was a broken clip but after looking they arent broken in fact the metal rod going from the handle to the latch flexes so the latch doesnt get pushed hard enough to open. If I grab it near the latch and push the rod the door will open. Anyone ever run into this or know a way to fix it without replacing it?
So I went and picked up some paint, really cheap paint, and decided to spray a little to see how it would do. This is with a quick light sand, no primer, and a $10 harbor freight paint gun. So Im excited to see what it will look like when I spray it with a nice gun and on metal instead of fiberglass and actually put some work into it. I also ordered some new carpet last week.

Well I have a halfway through update.
I put the carpet in this weekend to find out I need floor pans.
Apparently I cant hold a camera still while using the other hand to hold a light.

Finished, well till I pull it out again in a few weeks. It was a PITA because the shifter is welded down so the carpet doesnt fit perfect but its good enough.

Then sunday and yesterday i have been busting myself to try and get the paint done over the break before I go out of town, but it doesnt look like its going to happen.

(I sprayed the hatch underneath after that pic)
I also sprayed the hood but the wind was getting bad and the gun started spuddering so I ended up with a lot of texture in it so I get to sand it and start over.

Well I was stressed out over school so I went home and finished painting the mustang. All that is left is putting it back together, get all the tape off the trim and paint the trim black, wet sand and buff. Not too bad for spending less than 40 dollars.

Well some what done, I still need to wet sand and buff since my gun was starting to clog when I was finishing so it has some texture in the paint.
