Ok, so i appear to have a leak at the bottom of my thermostat. It's not bad, but its enough that antifreeze is leaking into my 6cyl. plug canal and causing it to miss. I can't tell if it's just the gasket or the housing so I'am going to just change both of them, since it's pretty inexpensive and I'am already going to have it taken apart. Any pointers?

There isn't a gasket in the t stat,it's a rubber "O" ring, which is re usable. But if it is leaking from under the intake where the t stat is,then it's your intake gasket,or your intake.I believe your year has the plastic coolant cross over which are known to crack after awhile!!
I would take a real good look to see before you start changing anything to make sure to save yourself time, and money.
If it is your intake,to bad your far away,i have my stock one off my GT that is basically brand new with the aluminum coolant cross over sitting in the basement.
But either way,it's an easy job.

hmmm, I will take a pic of where it is leaking later this morning and maybe you can be able to tell? Thanks for the info!

That is either the intake gasket,or the intake itself. The are known to crack in that area close to the head.
Now you will have to take the intake off to see what it is for sure.
Clean the area off really well, and look for small cracks,or crack,if none is visible, you could have one on the underside, but if you don't see any cracks, then you could be lucky, and all it will be is the intake gasket. If i were you,and if you can afford it,especially since you need to take the intake off anyways, look for an '03 to '04 intake with the aluminum coolant cross over. Not sure if they came in the '02 or even '01.You might aswell kill to birds with one stone. If you were closer, you could have mine for a few bucks or so,and i would even help you put it on for pizza.LOL!!

LOL,if it works...go with it,it's a lot easier to convince them (wives) that way!!
But in your case,it's an up grade ,and an improvement all in one.The stock intake has proven itself over, and over, nothing wrong with it all.I'ts light, doesn't trap heat, the best intake out there for N/A,and does well with blowers,it's only down fall is being plastic at the sametime due to cracking, and not holding under pressure with a power adder!!
