What brand are you guys running? I bought Tenzo ag. They gave it a nice drop, better handling, but a bit bumpy. I like them, but would probably go Eibach next time.

I have BBK's, they aren't bad.

I had the H&R Super Sports on the 99 and loved them. The ride was rough but I think that was due more to the Bilstein Shocks and Struts I had on there.

I'm running the Eibach Sportlines.Had them in my 5.0L for roughly 5 years, then swapped them to my '03 GT in '03.

sweet2kstang,how do you like the C springs? Are they really stiff?Do you get good weight transfer with them?Got a side shot of your GT with them?
I'm getting to the point i might swap out my springs.Looking for something with a good descent drop, but not so stiff either.I still want the lowered look, but i am getting tired of the ride in my GT now,no longer enjoying it.Was fun back in the day,but now :| .....my age is starting to kick in i think LMAO!!

I have a 2004 GT with H&R Super Sport Springs and stock shocks and struts and I love them. They are only a little stiffer than stock but they handle great and they have one of the biggest drops for springs. They are a little pricey but its for a good reason and they are still cheaper for then Eibach. They drop the car about an 1 1/5 all the way around. Here is the best side shots i have of mine:

Its about 3 fingers clearance between fender and tire

I'm running H&R Sports with Bilstein shocks on my 96. I'd like for it to be just a little lower, but I already drag pretty bad (daily driver). Handling is great, but it was on there when I got it, so not sure about how it was before.

yeah me too but these 3.23 gears ain't gonna get me there very fast and neither is one wheel so i still got some work but i might still bring it out. I know in the old cars u could make a limited-slip pull posi like the 78 camaros where all u had to do was back up like 5 or 10 feet and it would lock the rear end together. Is there any way to do that in these cars? What day is the 4th?

I'am not sure to be honest with you. You might ask quickshift,,he's the yoda when it comes to these cars! It's actually the 8th, it's on a Saturday. We'll post more details as far as who brings what(eats wise) and where to maybe meet to possibly caravan up and what not as it gets closer.

BTW Mystic,,,i actually think your ride height is perfect! Looks really good!

Thanks! It is just right for me. Low enough to look good (better than the 4x4 look), but high enough to not drag constantly. I'm gonna have to get a picture of a Stang in town for sale. I swear the things lifted. It sits probably close to a foot off the ground, VERY odd.

oxman, how harsh is the ride with the sportlines, what struts are you running, do you have caster camber plates, and how bad dose it scrub? I am looking at either the eibach sport plus kit or h&r ss, tokieco hp's, the eibach anti roll kit, and cc plates. I havent really heard any reviews on the sportlines on our cars, but yours looks amazing, I want the same stance and rims (dont worry you wont have a clone running around mine is a dsg and I want black chrome wheels)

Hey man, welcome to the club by the way! Well actually I don't have sportlines I have AG lowering springs that I cut. I don't have cc plates but could use some new struts. Thanks for the compliment! ;)

Welcome aboard mdunn250.
I have the Sportlines in my GT now since new,and had them in my 5.0L for 3 year prior.(swapped springs from one to the other)
The sportlines are really not that bad,but they are a little stiff. The Sportlines do sit low,and your cats on your mid pipe will hit,and scrape everything that is sticking above the ground,or slopy driveways can be a real pain aswell for those with a chin spoiler.
When doing Sportlines you will need C&C plates no matter what to get her back in spec, and i recommend after market fox body struts if you have a SN95 chassis.Reason being that the SN95 struts have longer shafts, and once you lower the SN95 chassis more the 1 1/2 the struts shaft will bottom out inside the housing and will end up damaging the struts. The fox struts have shorter shafts, and will allow some rebound space back without bottoming out the strut itself.
Any aftermarket struts will be more improved over the stock for the Sportlines. All depends what you want,so research is good to see what will be good for you.I myself have Lakewood 90/10's,but i like to go to the track, and let her rip an few good times threw the summer......providing everything is in working order. :?
For the rear shocks,no need to worry about the length as i have read there is no difference in length from fox body to SN95.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome mat guys. The eibach kit I am looking at comes with the sportlines, pro damper kit (shocks), spring isolators, and the eibach anti-roll kit (f&r sway bars) I’ve found the whole kit for around $850 so I figured I could throw the cc plates on there and have a pretty sweet set up for around $1k. Well the good news is I don’t have cats so I don’t have to worry about them scraping... I am torn between the sportlines and h&r ss with tokeico hp shocks and of course adding the anti roll kit, spring isolators and cc plates. I make frequent rides to GA to visit with friends family and my fiancé, so a decent ride is a must. I can work with harshness as long as it’s not punishing, but I want something I can take to the SCCA meets and not be thrown off course by body roll. The eibach kit is a few hundred cheaper in the end so for now it sounds better, what would yall suggest btw the two? :?:

I have the tokico blues and pro kit with stock sways and my body roll is actually minimal. I have no c&c plates and my front camber is set at -1.5.

If you are wanting to do auto cross, then i would look into some chassis bracing also. I have a strut tower brace and a kenny brown kmember brace and the front end doesnt move at all. I also have hardly any understeer anymore. Panhard bar or watts link would be one of the most noticable upgrades for autocross (next to tires.). I hate how the axle and move independantly.

Also do you already have subframe connectors? if not do those also.

Btw if you have ever been out to any autoxs within the past year and seen another dsg car out there its me.

yeah, I rode with you! I am the guy that came with Spradlin. I am gonna go all the chassis work when I get some more money. This is just my first step, next is wheels (then the stocks are getting some better rubber for auto x), then brakes, chassis, a t-56 swap, and then the motor build. I figured I'd make it handle and stop better and then work the speed up to match the rest. I dont want to be annother guy running around and droping a s/c on a stock motor and trying for 500 hp and ripping everything apart.
