i was just curious on what some ppl thought about this, i always thought that logicaly the colder air the better. but recently i have been rethinking this, maybe that is just because i am having some hp issues. I have been hearing lately that mustangs dont really need cold air as much as they just love to have air. my filter is in the fender wall and i have been thinking about getting a ram air kit for my car cause i really think that it should increase the hp dramatically. any ones thoughts would be much appreciated.

well the more flow the better. On mine a cold air and a tune does amazing things on the new edges i would think it would do a lot since the 2v's are really restricted. IDK man buy a supercharger fix all you hp issues, just my .02

on cold air kits they dont actually pull any colder air than factory, they just pull more air. most every factory air box is pulling air from the outside any how. but yea they are worth it imo.

not really. they are able to move a larger volume of air, sometimes pull cooler air (depending on cai), and look better but not a huge performance gain on these cars.

The FRPP CAI / tune is good for about 33 RWHP on a GT-500. :ugeek:

I would go with the JLT CAI. Its the best one you can buy. Its won multiple CAI shootouts. But its kinda a pain to install

If plan on doing a cold air intake, stick with PVC/plastic type cold air intakes. But don't expect huge gains.

Hey John, if you want a plastic cai, look on Summit Racings website, they have a Summit brand that is the exact same thing as the K&N FIPK cai, it has K&N stamped on the tube and all, Summit just sells it under their name and it is way cheaper. thats what I had on the 4.6.
