I've been looking at trying those two. Which do you prefer? I have used Meguiar's in the past, just looked good at the time I bought it and have yet to use the whole bottle. I'll definitely try something different next time though.

and showtime are you talking about that polish, paint cleaner and wax 3 bottle thing? ive only used it once

Mothers/meguires are pretty good stuff that is easy to buy and most local places have it. But Poorboys is the best I have used. kinda expesive but you get what you pay for.

I've heard good stuff about poorboys, just never had a chance to try it.

Poorboys is what I use almost exclusively. I really like their Spray and Wipe. However I did find a great wax that really gives the car a wet look.

It's called Wet Obsession by Obsessive Detail. It goes on nice and like I said it gives a great wet look. The only down side is that it's about $45.00 a can. But a can will do 5 or 6 cars.

I only use Zaino on my Mach. There are plenty of good products out there but I prefer Zaino.

I've been using Tutle Wax Ice Liquid Polish and love it. Making my Cobra shine like never before. I give it 4 stars (out of 4).

Hmm, allot of choices. I use mothers on my 07 right now and keep looking for product reviews on anything that might be better. I think I'll let all of your cars be a test bed for the best stuff before I go applying the first coat of wax to my 69  .

I'm a poorboys fan too. I've heard good things about zaino also, but haven't tried it.
Most of the stuff I've tried out of the auto parts store hasn't been bad, just doesn't seem to last as long.

I've used Poorboys and zaino for shows they work great! Plus Poorboys smells really freakin good (I almost want to taste it). I'd recommend them over Meguiars, and Mothers (my personal favorite of local auto parts stores). I am personally not a huge fan of turtle wax it just doesn’t last that long (for a show quality finish) however its cheap and dose the job ok. I am currently doing a 2 step wax Zymbol cleaner wax and Meguiars Gold finishing wax. Zaino and Poorboys are a lil expensive and I'm not entering any shows. If you can find it find a banana wax or some other form of "hard wax", they are really expensive but, these are the waxes used on premium performance and luxury cars, that keep a finish for up to a year (depending on conditions). For quick detailing get some Honda spray cleaner and polish you can find it online and in Honda motorcycle shops. I started using it while I was working in a motorcycle shop in GA, and it works amazing for a quick clean up (works on dash and leather too) and leaves a show quality polished finish. My friends that I recommended it to have the trophies to prove it. But the main thing to make any wax look 10x better is a good wash! Surprisingly enough the best I've found is Dawn (or some form of dish soap) Ultra Dish Soap, it has the chemicals needed to break down grease, soot, road grime, old wax, and bugs. But I would recommend a wax job after using dish soap, as it will leave your paint unprotected to the elements. Sorry if I've rambled on a lil but, I've been to a lot of shows and detailed a lot of cars, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, ect. and its always been fun for me. I've got a few other tricks too, so if you ever need any detailing help ask, if I dont know I'll call a friend who gets paid well to detail cars for some exclusive clients.

Ive been using NXT for years and love it because its relatively inexpensive and seems to last a good while. Like others ive always hear great things about Zaino but havent gotten around to spending the extra change on it. Turtle Wax ftl lol ive just never liked it based on my past experiences.

I like NXT but Zymol is very good too, just doesn't last that long on a car that is kept outside.

I've been a real big fan of the Meguire's clay bar kits (just did mine last week!). Meguire's Deep Carnuba wax is very good stuff too. I haven't tried any of the expensive stuff you guys have mentioned. I may have to look for some next time. And that "wet" wax sounds AMAZING!

If you want some seriously amazing stuff its this:
http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-423-adams-americana-premium-carnauba-paste-wax.aspx
it is pricy, but the results are seriously amazing! And its plenty of wax to do the car many times.
I wish i could do my car right now but it has some fresh paint on the front cap.

i use the meguairs clay bar kit, but i use black magic for everything else. i like the natural shine for the interior, and i use the their wax as well.

Mothers clay bar and then the meguiers three stage stuff. I do that once a year and then the rest of the year just the spray detail stuff.

I use Zephyr Z-cream cherry wax. The common place to find it is at a Peterbilt dealership. Its about $15 for 16 oz. Its easy to put on and polish off and leaves a wet look that lasts. They also make an aluminum polish i use on my rims that works great too. They make every detailing stuff you could ever want for your car.

I used meguiers carnuba wax that came in a little tub.. It was my first time to hand wax a car ever, and I'm pretty sure I used a little too much, but it wasn't too bad!! The stang is looking really shiny and I waxed it like 2 weeks ago! Things just don't seem to stick as bad after waxing it so I'm a believer!! :)
