Depending on the rim choise. Some look good in 18's,some look good in 19's,and most look good in 20's for the S197 stang.
Foose rims are sweet, and i believe they only come in 20's. ;)

Are you concerned about ride quality? The 20's will be harsher due to smaller side wall. Personally, I'm interested in finding out how much myself as I'm contemplating the same decisions.

It all depends on the wheel. I've seen some awesome looking s197's on 20's, but also have seen several that were a disgrace to Mustangs.

Completely agree. It seems so many think go big and shiny and it will look good, which is not the case so much of the time. I know to each their own so I try not to comment but it seems this is the case more with this new body style than any others, JMO. Maybe I'm just too picky...I know my wife would say so.

Nice, how was the ride quality affected when you went up to the 20's? Also, do you still have stock springs and struts/shocks on the car?

^^LOL, gotta say I agree with your comment as well. I'm just a sidewall kinda guy, I hate the low pro look (however, I have saw a handfull that just look awesome).

Between my two S197's I have put 4 different sets of 20's on them. I would advise and go with 20's, staggered fitment, and Do a throwback style (shelby, foose, bullitt, FR500, etc..) Now, when it comes to cost it can get out of hand pretty quick. I am a bargain shopper. I have the Boss 336 wheels on mine and my wifes car currently, in two different colors. They look great and I bought a complete set new with nitto 555's for $1300 installed. American Muscle has mustang wheels pretty cheap and I have a vendor that I can get you a set for about $1100. Look at wheelreplicas.com If you see one you like let me know I have there wholesale price sheet. Just some advice

What suspension set up do you have and how is the ride?

I'm not going to lie. I have a full Eibach suspension with the sportline springs. The ride is fine as long as the road is flat. You hit one of those famous arkansas bumps or dips and it will hurt your kidneys. Looks good, corners like on rails, but not a good highway driver, at all.

Would you say the 20's are a big factor in that or mainly the sportlines? I'm not dropping as far as you, going with the FRPP springs which are the same as the Eibach Pro Kit, should be around 1.5". I think I'm going to stick with the 18s though.

I have several S197's with 20" wheels and tires and the ride is barely noticeable. If you go with even the eibach pro series (about same drop as FRPP, BBK, etc...) and 20's you will not loose much comfort at all. Make sure you get the right size tires with whatever size wheels you decide to go with...

Go 20's and never look back. 20's fill the wheel wells perfect on these new mustangs. I have 20x9's and 20x10's. anything smaller than 20's just doesn't look right to me, but I'm not a big fan of sidewalls. I have a really good ride out of my car with them and I don't think you will be upset if you go that route. on the 94 to 04 mustangs, I think that 18x9's and 18x10's are the perfect fit.
