I work at ALL OUT PERFORMANCE in Springfield Missouri. Its are shop car. No one owns it. I bet we ould put good money down that you wont hang with that vette. But dont get me wrong im a ford guy but Ford dont have a motor that can run with a lsx motor. Yea it runs 10s in the 1/8 goin backwards.

Stan is right, he was with me when I dropped my block off at Kuntz it is is a 449CI windsor that made 998hp naturally aspirated!
I will admit a LSX motor are wicked, but its a little far fetched to say Ford dont have one to compare. I have taken down several of them with modular engines from 6.0l trucks with power adders,to camero's,trans-am's with power adders, and vettes and thats including a few ZO6's and i done it in a 5000lb truck and was at a cubic inch disadvantage so even if this ZO6 has a bunch of money sunk into, I wont hesitate to pounce on it seeing that the motor that is being built for my car is basically the same that was in my truck but built and more HP in a Mustang and I wont ask one question about what it has or runs. There are also 2 other street cars that are close friends of mine and I help work on them, one being a mustang with a windsor and the other being a GM product with a V6 that would also like a piece of the vette ;)

im not talkin crap, nor am I running down the vette, or lsx motors. but I would not under estimate a modular engine either.... I didnt say I would out run the vette, I just said I am not scared of the vette because, and to be honest it probably will out run mine when I first get it running with the 5sp, but once I get a trans behind the engine so I can make the power the engine is beng built for... It wont be something to bet against! even with the 5sp, get my block back rhis weekend, and should have the engine built and put in car next week, and I a not scared to find out.

oh i know it takes alot to run 10's. I never claimed what mine would do thought. hope it runs 10's, which it should with no problem with the 5spd if it dont break, but that dont mean it will.

You would be surprised on how much power a windsor can put out. I went to Kuntz the other day also and saw a 318 cubic inch destroked windsor put down 7xx hp at 9600rpm. If i end up doing the windsor build instead of a TT modular it will be in the high 7's at centerville on a STREET RADIAL. That would be equivalant to 9's in the 1/4. But im not sure yet, the only reason im thinking about it is because i could get all this windsor stuff for SO cheap that it's rediculous.

I take it you have never heard of Jim Kuntz then. this is basically the same motor that charlie booze runs, I will post a link of Charlies car when I get home from work tonight for those of you who dont know. Jim built both of these motors, only difference is charlie has to run aluminum intake with a 4150, and this other motor has a sheet metal intake with a SINGLE domintaor. it made 998hp I was wrong about CI's, it is 439 not 449 and had heavy break in oil, if it would have had lighter oil it would have made 1000 no prob. Kuntz also build the motors For John Urist, so know who we talking about before you say someone is telling a lie.
and like I said before just because I said I am not scared of the vette dont mean im talking crap. and Im not doubtuing this shop dont build some bad***** cars, but just because me and my buddies are some rednecks from south AR, dont think we dont have some bad street cars either and Im not talkin about no stock motor cars on 8lbs of boost or a 100 shot running low 12's. And one of them being a fuel injected V6... I know I wont F' with the 6 cylinder!

this is Booze's car that has the aluminum intake and 4150 double pumper carb nuilt by Kuntz, same people who built the 998 motor! This car runs NMCA and NMRA hot street, and incase you do not know they do not allow power adders! the 998HP motor goes in a yellow mustang that runs some class like NMCA, but it is something like PSCA I think and they can run sheet mtal intakes and a domintaor where NMCA hot steet can not, still no power adder.

So if your buddies vette runs mid 10's in the 1/4 than that would be low 9's to 8's in the 1000ft. That's decent for a street car but i promise you there are alot of faster street cars...

keltner is that the guy off of ar rides who has the supercharged 408 stroker. this dudes vet ran tens and was stock displacement i think but yea i bet there are faster street cars out there. heck ive seen an 8 sec one.

Keltners car is not supercharger...it ran those numbers on a 100shot of nitrous. It is a 408 pump gas car.

No that's Shane with the red Z06. Its now got a built stroker with a KB and meth. Kris has the black C5 vert with a stroker and spray. There's also a couple 600hp street stangs and a few 500 hp imports over there. Also a few 600/700hp Lightnings. Racing a car/truck on the street with that kinda power is pretty tough to get it out of the hole and keep it strait. So props to big hp street cars
