I think whipples are mostly direct replacements for already S/C fords. Not alot of people report problems with their customer service because of that. Where as people run into problems more with KB because GT owners are installing supercharger kits. More parts, more labor. More problems.

Whipple makes a supercharger for non-supercharged mustangs. I wanted one bad. Until I read about the Kenne Bell. Vertigyn, sorry you had bad customer service with them. I have had all good customer service with them.

Kenne bells are the easiest to install. Take around 6-7 hours to install. Plus they state on the install instructions that the alternator bracket has to be modified and it even shows exactly how to modify it. That's the only hard part, other than that I think my mom could install one.

I have talked to sveral guys that ran both and some shops that install both. Most say you can pretty much go either way and make about the same power. Most shops I spoke with say that the KB is the nicer kit. Over all KB sells a lot more product than Whipple so it makes sense to see more people having problems with them, being there is more of them out there. I am planning on a KB but I would take a Whipple also. I have a personal freind with a street driven 07 GT500 with a Whipple 3.4 that makes 738rwhp and he has GREAT customer service from Whipple. And zero problems out of it. Its a hell of a ride lol!

Hey guys,
the whipple 550 kit is one of the best kits to go with on
your 4.6 liter stangs. Ford racing and whipple have spent
the last 4 years developing the whipple s/c. They now
have put together the best package i have seen in the
550 kit with all the parts that you need to do the job
yourself or have an authorized ford dealer install it
and you will not violate your warranty if applicable.
Here is an attachment of the whipple 55o kit installed
at shelby automotive inc in las vegas on my shelby gt/sc.

Ford has been developing with whipple, but don't forget, ford also has the super snake that comes with the KB. And ford also does the factory warrenty with KB. Also with SCT tuners.
