Hey man ive been looking around on the internet about those comp cam 278's and everywhere ive looked says you have to use notched pistons, cause there wont be enough clearance between them and the valves with those cams.
Somone else on here that knows more about this will prob chime in and let you know.
I just dont want you to get it done and then tap tap tap snap, broken valve.

Yes, with the XE278AH you will run into PVC issues because of the long duration (242/246). The pistons have to be flycut if you run this cam. I wouldn't recomend running a cam that aggressive if this is your daily driver. I'm running the XE274H cams and I love them. They have a nice choppy idle, great driveability and fuel mpg, blow your doors off power above 3500 rpm and you don't have to change the valve springs because of the low lift (.500).

checked with joey5.4 about the cams and he ran them with notching the pistons and even on comps website they do not say anything about pvc, and these cams should do good and give me what I want

they are not 278, they are 270's and do not require anything but springs. I had just wrote the numbers down wrong and did not realize it because i posted them forsale on my black jack and the 8 is right above the 0

why are you buying these cams? It was just about a month and a half ago or so when you said that you had custom ground cam's from GTR performance?????

I do have the cams from GTR High Performance, They are for a build at a later date, I did some more research on them and they are not going to work with a nearly stock setup, they are way to much of a hot cam for what i'm running now, I have the build plans at my house of what it will take for me to put the GTR High Performance cams in and it's going to take some bottom end work, and head work, and another car to drive everyday. buying them cams was a mistake I made, I thought i could make them work with a stock setup and theres no way that I can,

Ok, that makes a difference. You're correct, the 270's don't have PVC issues.
