I just got this 06 stang and I want to lower the rear to level it. Any ideas on spring choices or how many coils to cut from rear springs? I dont want to lower the front because the spoiler is already pretty low.

With your front end not having much clearance, I would opt to put a fat set of rims on the car to fill the gap in the fenderwell instead of lowereing the car. Big wheels will make it look lowered, but tires will also be more expensive. I'm a fan of 20" wheels on those cars. Biased? Maybe. lol

Cutting out half a coil should sit it right.

I have been thinking about 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear, something in black chrome possibly.

i have 20x9's in the front and 20x10's out back, and i really like the way it sits. i can't remember exactly what tire i have on the front, but I am running 305/35/20's on the rear and they fill the fenderwell perfect. I may try to squeeze a 315 in the fenderwell next time I buy tires.

I wouldnt cut any coils..it will loewr it to much. I would start with taking out the upper/lower iso's from the rear. That should take @ 1/2 an inch from the rear. Then some nice 20's to finish her off!

What size rims are on there now? Shouldn't bigger rims raise the car up a lil anyways? Then you would have room to drop the front down a lil also.

Thanks for the input. It has 17's with 245/45's on it now. I think I'm goin with the 20's as soon as the funding allows, that's the problem with having 4 stangs....funding
