I like like the Ford motor sport king cobra clutch, thats what I put in my 96 cobra. It holds good without the hard clutch pedal.

this is going in an 03? i hated my king cobra, it was junk. if this is going in an 03, the king cobra is out of the question anyways. how much power is he going to have? i would either do a stocker since they are pretty stout, or a spec.

I would go SPEC, I would not put a ram in it those are junk, or centerforce is a good clutch to

Spec 3+ along with a 26 spline input shaft and Fidanza Billit Flywheel.....

Definitiy spec stage 3+. the fidanza flywheel would also be a nice addition.

the negative about a clutch that stiff is hurting the input shaft and the trans if shock is hard enough. i have twited 2 input shafts and broke 1 from being over clutched.

so a spec stage 3 seems to be the popular vote. You guys know about what they run price wise and best place to get it?

I think American Muscle might have them also.

Make sure u get the 3+ cus the stage 3 is a puck style clutch and they grab really hard so its not really good for the street.

While you are in there the Liberty 26 spline input shaft is a great up grade as well as the flywheel... If the car dosent see the track much i wouldnt really bother with the input shaft!
Just make sre you order the right spline clutch....stock is 10 spline

i didnt have any issue what so ever driving my stage 3 on the street. any of them are hard hitting clutches and will drive about the same on the street.

my buddy has a spec stage 3+ in his cobra and it honestly feels almost stock driving around on the street.

Yeah cus its a full face clutch. They are a lot smother than a puck type. I drove a car with a puck type clutch and if you let out on the clutch at anything below 1500-2000 rpms then it would bog the motor down and sometimes kill it. He got in trouble all the time cause the cop thought he was showing off.

something was wrong with his. Ive had a car with a puck style and it was just fine.

I've seen videos online with the same problems from a puck style clutch. They change the clutch and it goes back to stock feel.

i would suggest the 03 clutch for anything under 400hp. and get aluminum fw while your in there.
