Car looks clean for an 85.

I would say that car is priced about right. For it being a bolt on car, with control arms, and being 25 years old, it's priced about right. If the A/C worked, and the cruise worked (did they even have cruise control on that year car?), then that car would be worth some cash.

Im curious as to what the interior looks like. If the interior is in PERFECT shape, then yes that car is worth some money.

I hate it when people don't post up interior pics and engine pics when they are selling a car, makes it hard for us internet guys to justify if it's worth as much money as they are asking for it.

You priced foxes lately, Jake?
I'm not in the market (happy w/ my 95, thank you very much) but it's hard to come up w/ a good v8 car (supposedly this one has a fresh 306!). Much less one that has been 5lug swapped.
Hard to buy/install all those parts for $5500, too. If he's telling the truth, it has most of what you'd need for a good fox.
Plus the car is painted ( of course, pix don't really show quality of paint job and it could just be a maaco job to cover up a ton of rust).

Interior is low on my list of pieces I'd worry a/b for a fox. Well, lemme take that back: carpet, seats and door panels are low on the list. don't think anyone is remaking the side panels...

You are not looking hard enough. I price cars all day, every day. So yes, I am very good at telling what a car is worth. I had an 83 Foxbody at one point. It had been converted to the 87-93 front end. When I got the car, it had on front clip and it was a roller. The guy before me is the one who pulled the motor, transmission, and front clip. But, I do know how much he gave for the car. My 83 as a roller had more money in it than that car does. Here is what my 83 had on it when I got it:

D&D Tubular K member
D&D Tubular A arms
QA1 coilover kit 14" springs 175lbs spring rate
So Tex Race Cars 6 point chromoly rollcage
So Tex Race Cars 2x2 thru the floor subframe connectors
So Tex Race Cars torque box reinforcement plates
So Tex Race Cars strut tower brace
So Tex Race Cars driveshaft safety loop
93 cobra rear spoiler
93 cobra rear tail lights
8.8 rear end with 98 cobra rear brakes
98 cobra front spindles
Steeda bumpsteer kit
Flaming River power rack and pinion
UPR caster camber plates
Strange 10 way adjustable front struts
10th anniversary cobra wheels
All autometer phantom gauges-5" tach with shiftlight in A/C vent, oil pressure, fuel pressure, fuel level, water temprature, boost.
AEM wideband

The car was completly taken apart (including interior) and was taken down to bare metal then sprayed Corvette Black on top, Mazda Red on bottom, and a Mercedez Silver pinstripe. That entire paint scheme followed onto the cage and even went behind the door panels, behind the dash, thru the door jams, and so on. The car had a full Aeromotive fuel system.

When the guy before me got the car, it had a fresh 306 with TFS heads and a TKO transmission.

He gave $6,500 for the car. The guy before him had over $5,000 in the suspension and cage work (i have the reciepts for that).

$6500 is a steal in my book, especially when it has $5k in suspension work +several grand in motor/trans. The car I posted isn't as much of a steal, but when did you buy your 83 (and if it had that much in it, why the heck did you ever sell it?!)?

A nice looking and reliable (ie: low miles, or new/rebuilt engine) fox with all of the upgrades that a 25y/o car needs for $8k or less is a bargain in my book.
$8k is what I gave for my 95 when she had 68k miles on her and I was happy w/ that price (still am!).

I had it a little while back. It was a roller when I had it. At one point I had a 70mm turbo kit, a mild built 306, and a T5 to put in it. Just needed a fuel system. I ended up trading the car off as a roller for a convertible that was a running driving car in decent shape. A friend of mine has the car now, and I have tried buying it back a few times. BUT he thinks it is worth over $5,000 as a roller (and he even took the hood, and front bumper off it).

What really sucks is, out of all the mustangs I have had ( I have owned 9 of them so far including my 2002), I regret selling that one the most.

Here is a pic of it with the bogarts, and another pic with the 10th anniversary cobra wheels. I had to loan my axles out of this rear end to a friend of mine to get his car back on the road, so we had to put 99-04 axles in my housing (which are longer), so that's why the wheels are sticking out the fender.

how long ago did you buy your 95? I don't know much about fox body pricing, but anything else I do.

I like it w/ the bogarts. Which is a 180 for me. When I bought my fox hatch (a/b 6yrs ago, now) it had draglights on it and I swapped straight up for a set of ponys -I hated the big-n-littles back then.

I bought the 95 a little over 2yrs ago. It was the color I wanted, and was in great condition, w/ shift kit on the auto, dumped Warlocks and built rear (except c-clip eliminators) with 4.10s being the only mods (according to the seller, who I ran into last wk and he told me the same stuff again).

I was just thinking a/b this and I put the wrong amt; I gave $6k for my 95. I took the loan for $8k, hoping to put $2,000 into wheels/tires and suspension, but then I lost my job and we had to live off that extra $2k while I was job-hunting (we were fortunate that I got the loan w/ some padding, but lemme tell you it sucked to have to eat my fun money!).
